Around 700 or so. The new clutch is 20 percent stronger. I drove a ZR1 at Lingenfelter with a prototype of this clutch in it. Super smooth with only slightly more clutch pedal effort.

Well at 960, it would be just barely enough right now, flywheel hp...my ACT chatters a little sometimes starting off, but at 1400 Ft/Lb rated, I have some elbow room to go...

I'll stick with mine... But thanks...I appreciate all the info...

I have put about 7,000 miles on my LPE ZR-1 clutch since I put it in back in the fall. This thing is great, it feels like stock, but seems to be holding up fine. I really like it A LOT!

OK so I'm a little confused, is this http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...Store_Code=LPE the one you are referring to for $1469.95? It says
Included in this system:
- Lingenfelter billet steel 6 bolt flange flywheel, OEM spec billet steel design made in the USA
- GM ZR1 twin disc pressure plate assembly, clutch discs & bolts
- GM ZR1 clutch slave cylinder or actuator assembly

Then below that it says

For 2010-2011 Camaro applications you will need the Lingenfelter slave/actuator spacer part number L360031410

The Lingenfelter billet steel flywheel is also sold separately part number L360010105.

Does this kit come with everything required or do I need to order the slave/actuator spacer and flywheel separately?

Then they also list this one http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...Store_Code=LPE

Which is the newest addition to their line up?

ACT is crap...!

I have been experiencing the exact same problem with my twin disc ACT.
ACT claims cluthch needs more break-in miles, so I put on 2000 more.
I even asked ACT if there was going to be clutch shutter, chatter, clatter or whatever (prior to install), and they said no.

First gear still drives me nutzzzzz.
I believe you when stating the ZR-1 is possibly the best, however I am completely out of funds (taking family to Hawaii this summer).

Should I keep driving my Camaro or keep complaining to ACT,,,,,?????
I honestly hate talking smack about other products but this is totally unacceptable.

LPE ZR1 Clutch

Blew my clutch this weekend, was on the phone with Lingenfelter Monday morning and bought the new updated version. Should be up and running by Friday. The install will be done by Jannetty Racing. Can't wait!!

So far we have pulled out 2 Zr1 clutches. 1 was clearly faulty.Looked like the inside disk(flywheel side) had no contact which was weird. Wouldn't hold 500hp/500tq. 2nd one just melted itself with 650rwhp and some aggressive driving.Peddle was sticking to the floor from the slipping heat.

I'd say these clutches are good for 500/550rwhp and some abuse. For aggresive driving customers we'll stay with the Mcleod RXT's.

Interesting. Getting a ZR1 kit myself. Had to fly a stupid alignment tool in since no one stocks it on Oahu. Shipping is 3x the cost of the tool.

I respectfully disagree..... I've seen well over a dozen of these at 600+ RWHP with zero issues, not easily driven either.
