Thanks for the responses. The shop is probably going to try paintless on that area and then have me inspect it before proceeding. If it doesn't turn out well, then we'll paint it. I'm just so fearful of repaint jobs.

If their guy gets it to an acceptable appearance, get his number, you want that guy doing all your future PDR work!! Let us know how it goes...

Once again, Camaro5 members call it like it is.
After the PDR attempt on the small dent, it just won't be good enough for me. The dent is smooth but there are many tiny micro dimples in the paint surface. It'll drive me crazy to leave it like that. Thankfully, the repainted bumper looks fantastic, definitely as good as the factory painted one. After seeing that, I felt better about them repainting the fender panel, too. As a bonus, I get the rock chips on the gills repaired since they are on the same panel. |
