Lemon law is for repeat attempts to repair a safety issue. They will fix it, it will be fine.

I get it!! You need to demand what you want. This is a brand new car. The problem is with a crappy dealer like this that doesn't call a customer and you have to sneak attack to talk to them, and they break more as they are supposed to be repairing.
Have you talked to GM after getting you case #? You should be dealing with them on this, they need to investigate the lack of everything with them.

I was looking at getting another Camaro in 2012 cuz i sold my 2010, but looking at all the 2011 camaros dropping like flies it scares me. You would think that GM learned from all the issues the 2010's had, but it looks like the 2011's have more issues then the 2010's. I wonder what the 2012 will be like. I might go and get a BMW instead now. Still hoping to get a camaro but if i keep seeing issues like these, i might consider myself lucky for selling my 2010 and go get something else.

I feel sorry for you and your camaro. That is so painful to look at. Knocking on wood had mine 14 months, 2800 miles and so far no trips to dealership. Hope it all works out for you.

Well here's an update:
I called the dealership yesterday morning, trying to get a status on the car. I'm told that it is "ready", except for the windshield, and that they're having someone come out to install it that morning. I would have the car by the afternoon. I call back in the afternoon, and I'm told the windshield just got put in, so now I have to wait till the next morning to get it. I say fine, I'll pick it up after I get back from work. I swung by there just now, right after getting back from work, and it's still not ready. They said to come back in 1-2 hours. I also got a voice mail from my "GM rep" asking how the car was driving. I guess he didn't get the memo, that I still haven't gotten my car back. I'm starting to get real tired of the dealer, and GM jerking me around. Oh, and to add insult to injury. The guy that apparently put my dash back together, is the same guy who broke, and then later "fixed" my glove compartment when he was troubleshooting the OnStar issue. And by "fixed" I mean, he put some sort of rubbery glue stuff to hold together a wire that adds tension to the glove compartment when it drops down. All I had to do was open it for it break apart again. The Service Manager came out and personally apologized for "the fix", saying that they don't do that kind of crap work here. So yeah, my confidence in this dash reassembly is shooting through the roof right now. |
