Just the other day the dash lit up service stabilitrak. AND light is on. Traction control doesn't work. I'm afraid to drive the car cause I don't know what will happen next.

I'm done dealing with dealers and service managers I don't even want this car. I had so much trouble in 3 weeks that cannot be resolved I just know the car will be a headache in the future. Dealership told me to call the BBB.

I have never had a car do this to me have never went through this process. And was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to's

And what to expect. Easy or hard process long term? I have not even made a first payment on the car and its been nothing but problems.

It is not an easy process, I tried that wih my 98 cavalier, it took almost a year of fighting with GM to fix my car or do lemon law, I filed the paperwork and about a month later someone from GM contacted me with a dealer to take to and PROMISED me they would correct the problem wich they did but it was alot of B.S.

Iv'e had my tranny replaced as well at 3500 miles and have had several other issues I had to go to three different dealers before I found the right one who would listen to me, I know it's not right to have a new car and have all this to contend with but just keep trying dealers or contact GM directly before attempting to do the lemon law process.

Was this a demo that was taken to the track? or did the dealer take it from another dealer.

Is the dealer you bought from a CHEVROLET dealer?

The car was driven from another dealer it was new

I tried 3 dealers they told me to go back to the original dealer and demand a new car before they work on it.

So I did and they told me to contact better business bureau

Something smells here....No way you have these issues with 650 miles, and they refuse to help....

Then contact BBB and file a Complaint against the dealer...Get a lawyer involved and get the media involved it will hurt the dealers rep and im sure they will do something. We had a guy awhile back who bought a car and it turned out to be a lemon. He parked it in front of the dealership facing the freeway and brought the medias attention to his problem. He stayed there day and night and would stop all potential customers from shopping there. It hurt the dealer badly.

I smell it too. No dealer is gonna say, sorry we are not going to fix it unless there is MUCH more to the story.

This was the short story.

They told me to find out what's wrong with it and they will fix it?

They want me to find someone and have that person call them and tell them what to do.

I contacted bbb I have a case opened.

Rodgers chevrolet in Detroit is helping me out.
I also had a call from gm this morning regarding the bbb case but I missed the call.

I will update the forum as things change.

I hope the outcome is they buy back this car. And I'm not so sure if I want another one. After all this.

Wow, you need to bring legal action upon the dealer.

It sounds like help is on the way. Don't give up on the Camaro, just give up on THAT one. Most of us are having excellent luck with our Camaros, so let them put you in one that works right. You'll be glad you did!

a friend of mine had a situation like this and contacted a lemon law attorney. they reviewed his evidence and had a certified mechanic come look at the vehicle and once they accepted the case they took care of everything...got his money back and Ford paid the attorney fees!

Sorry man but They have already replaced the tranny once and it still doesn't shift properly. Now your service stabilitrak light is on and they want you to find out what the problem is? This is a major problem with GM. Too many of these types of dealerships vs. Rodgers or Fairway (where I bought mine from). Good to see Rodgers step up to help you out. Keep us informed. You need to out the dealership after all this is squared away to your satisfaction. No one should treat customers like this.

Yeah I will update the forum on everything.

I got the dealership working on my side now. The bbb contacted them and they faxed them all the records. If this doesn't work Im going to get my attorney involved.

Thanks for the support guys.

Probably not a bad time to read up on your state's lemon law. The process is usually fairly well defined. Early on, you tell them you're pursuing the lemon law. Generally, the dealer stops trying to help you that instant, so be prepared.

I had a similiar issue w/ Ford on a pickup. Finally found a great dealer who worked with me, called a "field service engineer" who couldn't fix the problem. A week later, they called and said they were replacing my vehicle. Couldn't have been easier.

If you get someone to work with you, that's the best route. At the same time, know your rights.
