Get the Hurst aftermarket or the MTI Six Shooter.

I use the hurst. At first the height of it seemed a bit much, but instantly i noticed it didnt matter since the throw reduction is so high. Very comfortable to me. But then again I have gorilla length arms.

ah and with the TR6060 trans(LS3 M6) the positive feel you get from shifting gears is freaking awesome. It's almost like the car puts itself in gear when you shift :]

That's your opinion. How do you know it makes noise if you don't have one.

If it didn't make a noise than why did they (Hurst)start offering this (noise vibration reduction kit)

it was offered for those who wanted maximum isolation from the direct connection to the transmission the Hurst shifter offers. ANY aftermarket shifter regardless of the maker is going to have some additional NVH. Its the nature of the beast.

I put the Hurst aftermarket in mine a year ago. There's no "noise" and only occasionally a slight short- lived vibration at (surprisingly) low RPM.

I'm talking about a couple of seconds, and anyone else in the car wouldn't notice it.

Do it yourself to get it done right. If you've got the V6 like me, you can toss the factory centering springs, and the noise reduction kit. It'll be fine!
