The donut shop AND the mall were closed. I think SJM has a dual color setup that starts out white on start up, and you switch the color to one you've picked out. Maybe you could get closer to amber so you don't get hassled.

I have gotten pulled over by the police a few times and once I explain to them that I checked the law and they are orange some let me go and some I have to show them the comparsion to my afterburners. Never gotten a ticket though.

I have seen big rigs with almost red cab lights. I asked one driver if he'd ever been pulled over. He said never in 21 years of trucking and he said he had driven though most of the 49 US states in the North American continent. To some police amber is red I guess. To some people IOM looks like VR. Bad eyes, color blind maybe

Not to be a debby downer for you guys but each state is different in laws.

I am a Police officer in massachusetts and we have one of the strictest laws when it comes to vehicles. Any aftermarket lighting in massachusetts is illegal.....PERIOD....if it didnt come on the car and not approved by the Mass DOT...its illegal.

540 CMR: REGISTRY OF MOTOR VEHICLES 22.07: Mounting and Display of other Aftermarket Lighting

No person shall mount or display any lighting device which does not comply with Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety Regulations, 49 CFR Part 571, unless specifically allowed by M.G.L. c. 90, §7. Such
prohibited devices shall include, but not be limited to, neon undercarriage lighting.

The Registrar may order the removal of any colored light, including amber, at anytime he deems necessary, upon written notice to the registrant, with a copy to the chief of police where said motor vehicle is principally garaged. Any registrant so notified, who fails to remove suchcolored lights, and who operates or permits the operation of such lights on the public way, shall be in violation of the Registrar's rules and regulations as provided in M.G.L. c. 90, §20.

Sooo there you have it, I personally wouldnt care but saying that if you fight it youll win....Not here in Mass. I did stop a guy once for Green Running lights, he took it to court, i brought this law, He was found guilty.

So check with your local laws before you run with any lighting.

law is law, but amber is legal...there issue was that my lights were red..should be obvious that aac pics and my pics that the lights are clearly not red..
Florida Statute 316.224, state further prohibits drivers from adding other colored lights to their vehicles. Red, white, amber and yellow are the only colored lights that can legally be attached to the exterior of a vehicle in Florida.
Florida law prohibits placement of neon lights anywhere on the exterior of a vehicle, according to the Orlando Police Department. That includes stringing neon lights around license plates.
