Wipers stopped by themselves
I think I broke my wipers motor... anyone have that happen to them? Maybe I hit the wrong button but as I was getting ready to park the car in the garage and cut off the engine, the wipers just stopped at 45 degrees angle position. I am quite disappointed.

you turned off the motor with them still on?
have you tried turning the key to on and turning the wipers off?

I didn't turn off the motor when the wipers stopped. I turned the motor off, turn it back on and tried to start the wipers but they were still stopped in the windshield.

Ok, I took it back to the garage it seems the wipers transmission cable got overheated by the engine and there was a shortcircuit. The mechanic had to reroute the wire and change it. Hope it doesn't happen to any of you guys. I didn't pay squat for it but I lost 4 hours of my day.

Hum might be something to look for. Can you get a pic and show where it melted?
So folks can check and tack it up with a zip tie or something. |

I have no idea where it was. The GM Mechanic did the work and I was not watching the whole time.

see.. another proof now that gm is wanting cash and no doing quality work in factory. now they want production instead of quality...because they know there's a demand for the car...
