I am running the McLeod RXT clutch and put out well over 1000rwhp and it holds great is super quiet and better yet easier to drive than the stock clutch. I will never use anything else. Hands down best clutch I have ever used.

I'll throw out another option, Monster Level 5. It holds 825rwhp, yet won't leave you walking in circles. Feel free to give me a call with any questions you may have.

What are the specs of the RAM clutch you had, which individual components did you select?
I'm going with RAM and want to make sure I understand the pros / cons of picking one clutch combinatino over another.

I'm with ya. Sold/installed 13 of them so far this year and everybody loves them. ages 20-65.

If I had a M6 car it would definitely have a RXT in it.

We're pulling another ZR1 clutch out this week and going RXT in the car. Owner will probly let it go cheap.(out of a 09 Z06) Showed slight slip at 500/500 like most we've pulled.

Why is everybody buying clutches for these cars? LOL
Just kidding, believe me I know the answer.

@dmax86; Are you seriously considering the RXT?

The two I like the most are RAM RTrack 10.5, SPEC ST-Trim, also checked out the McLeod RXT which is quite interesting too but much more expensive and only holds 1000 hp. while RAM and SPEC are 1300+. RAM provides a lot of educational information on "clutches" in general which is a good baseline checklist to use when making an informed decision. I'm going to compare the 3 listed above and then I'll make my decision. Let me know how things go with the RXT.

I'm looking to and the two I like the most are RAM RTrack 10.5 and the SPEC ST-Trim. Might be excessive, but I'll be able drive as hard as I want without any concern I'm going to bust the clutch again. And, unlike a lot of foks I like the aggressiveness, to me that's the whole purpose of this vehicle. I want my SS to feel old school "rawnchy" hardcore muscle like back in the day, beat the shit out of it and it keeps going.
Yeah to each his own. I already pulled the trigger on the RXT. I have heard nothing but good things from everyone. I know a lot of people chose the LS9 clutch and then shortly after put a McLeod in because the LS9 lacked holding power for 700+ HP cars.

The RXT can hold a lot of power. You can keep that on/off clutch engagement. I had a car like that and it totally sucked for street driving.

Absolutely, not a competition just curious and a good exchange of information considering all the higher end clutches are between $1.5 - 1.8k which is quite a bit of cash and quite a difference in pricing as well. I don't plan on getting the ZR1 as it may hold for now but not in the near future. It think the RAM, SPEC and McLeod are most likely the very best choices for high HP applications, just wondering the differences between them in terms of materials for the flywheel, discs and pressure plate and bolt in accessories.
Regardless, would like to hear feedback. When do you think it will arrive and you'll have it installed?

What's an on / off clutch engagement? Are you referring to the herky / jerky feeling at like 5kph.?
I'm getting that now with the stock clutch as it is now, so kind of used to it. Regardless, I don't think that is simply due to the clutch alone (combination of clutch components play a role as well), and there are other factors too like idle rpm, cam, etc... However, everybody has different requirements so can't simply make a choice based on what others want. So, exchange of information is usefull in my mind.
But, I agree the RXT is right up there with the other high end brands so I'm sure it's a good product (@ $1.8k wouldn't expect anything less than top notch). I'm willing to accept the trade off in driveability to get additional capacity / performance if necessary, besides, although I understand not for everyone, in my opinion the herky jerkies my old school Z28 had are kind of fun anyway.
