I love Pandora too and listen to it in the house all the time. The problem in the car is it cuts out a lot and I end up killing it after a few minutes. I would love to have it ingrained into the radio.

I just called XM back talked to two different people one tried to tell me the $77 for a year wasn't available on my radio type and tried to convince me that adding $15 in fees to the $20 package I agreed to was reasonable. He then transferred me to someone else and I very quickly got the year package I wanted.

Sheesh but now I'm covered for my road trips this summer.

I am about to run out of my free subscription and will not renew, as the reception just outright sucks!!! Trees and powerlines overhanging the road kills my signal every time. I live in North Georgia and there's hardly anywhere I can drive outside of the expressway where I can get through a entire song without losing reception. No problem with FM radio anywhere, but my XM is a joke! My dealer said that was normal.

I'm in Dallas and I even get reception in my garage with the door closed. I'll be interested in seeing what the reception is on my road trips to the back-woods of Oklahoma.

That's odd, they had someone calling me twice a day a little before mine expired asking if I wanted to continue.

My free trial ended a few days ago. Listening to commercial radio just blows, so I gave it a shot last night and called XM expecting to get a painful experience with someone speaking broken English. To my surprise, someone who spoke perfect English answered the phone cheerfully asking if I wanted to extend my service. I said "maybe - I have a friend who just got a promotion for $77 for a year and if I can get that I will sign up". She said "Sure, I can do that for you". Piece of cake. She also said it would automatically renew when my year is up for the same price. I will keep my eyes on that, but I am still shocked that it went down so easy after reading how people had to call back several times and speak with supervisors. Timing is everything, I guess.

I am now working on a month(after free trial expiration)without any phone calls or mail offers. This is with me also calling them up near expiration date trying to get a decent deal.I'll just try to be more patient.

When you first posted this thread a month ago, I was getting calls 1-2 a day to include Sundays. However about a week ago they seem to have stopped.

I didn't really care for it and here in San Diego it cut out when I drove under bridges but the clincher was when I put in quality speakers. XM compression makes the music sound like 56k encoded MP3s. Pandora sound nearly like a CD if you play the exact same song on Pandora after hearing it a few minutes earlier on XM. It was startling to hear the difference.

I also paid the $30 for Pandora so I get no ads, unlimited time, and skipping songs.

I just hope they never pull a "Netflix" on me. I'm going to miss streaming movies but I think Xbox Live will help me get over it. I digress

Bizarre-My girlfriend just received another offer in the mail today(she's not interested, her free trial on her Hyundai ran out a month or so ago),so I am like WTF!
I call them up and say they are offering her,how bout me - he signs me up!
This is obvious hit or miss on who you talk to.
I was able to get 5 months for $31(supposed to be $24.99,buy I want my Stern). So much for patience.

Weird but glad it worked out for you. Next time I'll pm you for your number. When they call me I'll say, "Not interested but I know someone who is!"
