consider though that Mustang charges extra for the track pack. The MRC will be standard on the ZL1 so factor the true GT500 plus track pack price for comparison.

If they offer the ZL1 for 43K they better be prepared to build a shit ton of them. They might as well cancel the SS too. If by some way that's true I'll have one in my garage next year.

I will wait for an official announcement, but I can't say it's not true.

Take what you hear on price with a grain of salt.

UPDATE:

My point here is this:

The Team continues to work on this car - meaning the developmental work -- to get all the details just right. How do you price something when you're not done?

Pricing is always one of the last things done on a car. True: you have a target in mind, but anyone who gives you a price on this car is guessing (in most cases with little or no real knowledge of the content and percentage of 'specific' parts .....meaning those being unique to the ZL1)

I certainly don't want to dampen your zeal for what you see - but I also don't want someone out there thinking: 43K!!!!!
Not looking good....

i would expect it to be 1-2k more then a GT500. Not sure what the price tag is in the states for a Gt500 but its 58k here I think. So im assuming the ZL1 will be 58-62k starting here
