Do you have ground effects on your car? I noticed my exhaust rattling and it was the tail pipes hitting the metal inserts on the ground effects. I had them adjust the tips and it was fixed.

First, don't let it get to you. And second, it don't matter if you are Female. Now! ...is a good time to get to know your vehicle. Yes, almost every dealer will give anyone the run-around (it's the easy way out). But if you go in there with ammunition... you'll put them on their heels!

For example...

Learn everything you can about "the problem" from C5 or any reliable internet source out there. Remember, we live in the information age! If you can't find... ask (as you are doing now). I guarantee you will get at least 1 helpful response.

Also, using that advice, check out your problem first hand. Get under the car if you have to, get your hands dirty... and try to see exactly what it is that might be causing "the problem".

Finally... go in there confident that you bought a Brand Spankin' New Car, and expect to have it in that condition! With the knowledge that you've gained you can tell them exactly where and what you need fixed.

Edit: I don't know if i stressed enough how much help this site and the people on it are?!?!!!!!!!

Hi joey,
I test drove a SS and it had the exhaust rattle/vibration too. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it, since it won't be hard to fix. Just go back and get it fixed.

Yes I do have GFX. There's only 1/16" between the pipes and the square cut out on the GFX. They called me this morning and want to cut off my big beautiful tips and make them a little shorter and put smaller ones on? But I'm getting ready to put a new exhaust on to make it sound a little throatier so not sure what to do? They said they can't adjust them because one side will go up then the other goes down. I guess I'm dealing with incompetence. Should I leave them alone and just wait until my new exhaust gets here?

Thanks for your help everyone (almost everyone, lol) I have learned a lot on here. My husband thinks I've lost my mind but this is my baby! I did take in a piece of info from here about a Bulletin regarding the rattle on the exhaust I think from the 2010's, but I guess that's not the issue here. I'm going to get my pics on here soon so you can see her! Oh and for the little V6 guy....... I can afford it, I wanted it and I got it! As one other member says, "Don't be a hater!"

Well, they are right in that everything is welded. There is not much fudge room and the whole system is gonna move vs each side individually. Plus with GFX, they have to cut the stock tips off, shorten the pipe, install smaller tips than stock. That IS the procedure I have seen done on all GFX setups. There is just less room in those openings....

If your going to get a new exhaust soon i would just deal with the rattle for a little while longer rather that go thru the hassle dealing with the service depts and risking the possibility of them jacking something else up(not saying they will but its been know to happen) . Oh and i noticed on your info on the left that you drive a CamEro- might want to adjust that;-)
