Yeah, you'll need to move that little box somewhere else. Clip the blue wire...no the red one...no the blue one...awe crap, no wonder I couldn't join the bomb squad....

They really couldn't have picked a more inconvenient place for that thing, could they? You'll have a nice empty spot on the driver's side strut tower. Just clip one of the wires, insert an extension or replace the wire with a longer one.

So why did they think that the inside of the engine bay needs an anode to protect against corrosion? I think the coating on the outside of the car does a better job at that. Plus usually with anodes, they are only effective so much surface area before you need to place more, otherwise it's only protecting a specific area of the car. So yeah I agree, definitely a fail on their part . What's the next thing they are going to try and pull, Inconel liners for the inside of the exhaust pipe with a layer of fusion bonded epoxy on the outside?

My dealer tried to sell one of those for $500 and I said "No Thanks". Later I bought one at Canadian Tire on sale for $200, I installed mine in the trunk so I could run the power wire direct to the battery. I didn't want to spray oil or under coating all over my car so I decided to try this thing out, I don't know how well it's going to work, but I geuss we'll find out.

haha you guys kill me LOL

KFH, that wiring job looks much better then what my stupid dealer did. They put the anode in the engine bay, closer to where the headers would be. Anyways I need to move this thing so if i dont post in weeks on C5, thats probably because I cut the blue wire and blew myself up Blame Rolnslo if that happens

Just disconnect the battery first. Duh!

I've never understood why in TV shows and movies they insist on cutting random wires while the clock is ticking down. Why don't they just clip the wires powering the device instead???

alright SO i looked at the device and realized the idiots at the dealer left no wire to work with. I need to move it but dont know if I can take off the anode and reapply or not.
