I sensed a definite improvement in braking power (but then again my old rotors were .10mm under minimum thickness ). I now hardly have to press down on the brakes for the car to start stopping and the car does 45-0 like it's nothing. So far from driving around with the radio off I haven't heard any of the infamous "swooshing" noise that slotted rotors make. I'm happy with the purchase and think that for the price I paid, I definitely got a sweet set up for the street.

On another note what EBC pads are you running? I've been thinking of picking up some EBC Red Stuff 3000 pads for my moms MB SLK 230 and I don't think she'd be very happy with a lot of noise/dusting.
That's good to hear, next spring I'll probably be doing the brakes.

I'm running Red Stuff pads, most of the noise I hear is from the rotor design IMO. The dimple drilled and slotted combo makes for a noise that's hard to describe. It's not squealing, it's kinda like that swoshing noise but a little different. The brakes work great, just when the time comes I want to try something else to see if they are quieter.

Sounds like Wagner Thermo-quiets on smooth regular rotors. Drives me f'kin nuts. Probably going to go with a low dust ceramic pad since I'm getting horrid brake fade now after about 20 minutes of driving and no real squealing (aside from the pads being overly sensitive to any irregularity in rotor surface).

Granted I do a lot of hard 30-0 stops so maybe it's me..

Hmm ok. I've heard the Dimpled/slotted combo are the worst with noise. I'll probably just do Brembo Blanks and EBC Red Stuff on the Mercedes.

For now this combo is quiet, and I'll let you know if it ends up become noisier later on.
