I haven't heard much about the no lift shifting that was mentioned a while back. I heard that you would be able to keep the gas pinned to the floor and the computer would hold the engine RPM when you push the clutch in to shift gears. Is that still going to be included?

Launch Control is nice, it gives you the option of going for consistent automatic type launches or to do more yourself and try to squeeze those last few tenths out for the best possible time. Launch control is not no-lift shifting, that's mainly to keep the turbo spooled while accelerating which isn't something the Camaro needs to worry about.

Nothing new. It's a nice feature to have.

Unless you own a nissan gt-r.

even the Cobaly/HHR SS's have this feature. they also have the no lift shift, which as stated above is cool in these cars because of the turbo...

A good driver doesn't need it... but is a good feature.

taking the skill out of launching is pretty lame... if your going to do all that might as well grab an automatic. all these computer controls are taking away from the whole reason for rowing your own gears. :/ i guess it's good for people who want to pretend to have skills with the stick.

"wow nice launch dude "yea all me bro all me" LMAO

Without starting a war, are you maybe just upset cuz the old stang' doesn't have this option? Doesn't sound too bad especially for consistency

4 stabilitrak modes

Basic setting: Traction control and stability control on (factory default).
used for safe driving during any type of driving experience, snow or hot surface.

Traction control off/stability control on: able to drive more agressively but still have some control over the car

Competitive mode (V8 only): Performance driving (ex;track driving)
more "forgiving" stabilitrak setting, allows for more lateral load on vehicle before stabilitrak kicks in.

Both traction control and stability control off: In other words crazy out of control demon driving (Best part was watching Al try not to smile when saying this)

?????? i guess u didnt read any of what i said... i was stating that i wouldnt make use of an option like this and i think it takes away from the reason for a manual transmission. if you want a computer interfering with your shifting techniques, might as well get an automatic... are we on the same page now?

Well not quite..... IMO there is more to driving a stick than just launching. I see where you are coming from though. Just playing devils advocate here
