No aftermarket cat or axleback is going to make any significant power over the stock mufflers. Pick what sounds good to you

$632 plus about $12 fed ex shipping. Installed myself in about 60 minutes. Sound more "mellow" than stock. Weight savings over stock mufflers is also a benefit.

I have them on my LT. They sound nice, not obnoxious. They look a lot better and are lighter. They also have an embossed bowtie on them.

I was thinking about the GMPP exhaust, however when I called the dealer they wanted about $995 plus installation. I ended up buying a Borla S axle back and a CAI inc. intake as a pkg deal for less than $900 and installed them myself.

I got the GMPP axle back's as part of my purchase and love the way it sounds for everyday driving. Any louder would be too much. I set off car alarms with them so that's loud enough for me and even on the freeway people hear me coming.

PS This is from a guy that had straight pipes on his Harley. I'd rather hear the motor than anything on the stereo

Pricey but convenient. I have them and they sound great. No complaints.

What is your source ?
I would think there would be some gain.
Has anyone dyno tested stock vs a/mkt exhaust systems ?

I like the chevy bowtie on the tips IMO. It really isn't an upgrade it just changes the sound and gets rid of those awful stock mufflers.

I have the GMPP "off road" axle back on my SS, it is made by Borla, but is not directly comparable to anything Borla sells. Borla makes the exhaust to GM's specs. The Off Road version I've been told is similar to the ATAK, but I haven't parked mine next to a car with ATAK to compare. I got mine as part of a free dealer installed package when I bought (exhaust and heritage grill) . I love the difference in sound, really sounds mean above 4k and very little highway drone, which is what I'd hoped for. The tips are very nice and they are considerably lighter that the stock cans. Just my opinion fwiw.
