I know the aftermarket bars come with hardware but they will require drilling as well.
Thanks Obzen.

As Obzen pointed out, some 2011's have pre drilled holes and some don't. None of the 2010 have pre drilled holes. If your car does have pre drilled holes you can purchase the OEM strut tower brace even if your car didn't come equipped with one from the factory. If you don't have the holes it's a little harder to make the OEM bar work because the strut tower has been redesigned a little bit and the OEM bar will no longer fit the profile of the strut tower without spacers between the strut tower and the bottom edge of the brace.

The Verts get the bars because they need them, the ZL1 gets them because it's the top of the line model and therefore should get them. All of the Camaro chassis will see a benefit from them, but they're not a night and day type modification. It's less about the torque output from the engine and more about what happens to the chassis during hard cornering or coming in and out of driveways. The chassis will twist a bit, if you're cornering that's not good because your alignment changes slightly.

The 5th gen Camaro isn't a limp noodle compared to some other chassis on the road out there, but there is a bit of a performance gain to be had with a Strut tower bar. You can see exactly how much deflection there is here in this video we took during our Strut Tower development.

I have the LSR strut tower sitting in my front foyer waiting to be installed!! I got home from a business trip today and it was here, but my wife has the car at work! Now I have to wait even longer!!

I though the LSR struct tower looked a little cooler and different from stock and might offer some benefit when I drop the car.

I was pleasantly surprised by that video. I would have suspected there would have been quite a bit more movement than there actually was. As unibody cars go, that's pretty darn good.
Still would like to have the factory brace, but not sure I'm willing to drill holes and try to mount hardware... especially if the brace won't fit my car perfectly without shims. Undecided at this point.

It may not be needed on the Camaro, but I had a Honda that they say did not need one either. I put it on for cosmentic reasons, and wow, what a difference in handling!

+1. For looks and not physics. And/or because someone can.

Definitely NOT true. The Hotchkis strut tower brace and rear chassis brace have greatly improved the handling and cornering ability of my car.
