Thats for sure. When I was debating between Impala and Camry a few years back, per Consumer Reports, it was like the Camry could do no wrong. After some test drives, I found plenty of faults with Camry though!

Now if you were to get a 1LT with RS getting the 20" wheels, you would get a firmer ride than the 18" wheels, but still no more than equal to the SS.

The ride on the 1LT with 18"s is all day comfortable. Yes it is sporty so don't think it's a boat. But not the same as the SS, it is tuned completely different.
Thanks for the feedback!! Am I correct in assuming that even with the 20" rims, the V-6 still has a softer ride than V-8?

I really like idea of RS option, to get Halo's and rear Spoiler, and 20" rims IF they don't adversely affect ride too much....I might end up just swapping them out for some custom 18" rims too.

Another thought is to change out springs....Wonder if they're interchangeable with the Caddy CTS or other GM springs that are softer?

North Carolina and South Carolina's Interstates are in terrible shape...
I'm hoping the same....roads in Minnesota are getting worse every year.

If you're looking for a smooth ride buy a Cadillac. This is a sports car.

Suspension is the same on the LS or the LT's, just the Wheel/Tires are different, the shorter the sidewall the slight difference it will make in the ride and handling...so on the LT's with the larget Wheels it will ride a slight bit stiffer, probably not enough for most people to tell..

Easy thing to say if you're not walking in my shoes. I have an incredible passion for this car, and will do my best to acquire car, and modify if necessary.

the yellow pre-production rs that i drove at indy in sept felt nice like my wife's bmw. i only drove around the track and back around briefly on the public street's but it was not too firm if your use to any modern european sports sedan and the g8.

p.s. they probably did a little more tuning since then but remember that it was tested at the ring in germany.

The Camaro has 2/3 suspension packages from the CTS: medium (FE2) and hard (FE3).

There haven't been any complaints about the ride of the SS (with the FE3) and the FE2 is a bit softer. I think there would be complaints if GM went with FE1 tuning on the V6. My parents have an Aura XR with FE2 and while its not hard, its not floaty either. Its a very nice compromise.

Thanks for the scoop! What I may end up doing if it turns out to be too firm for my liking is swap out for FE1 set-up. Hopefully could do for under a grand, maybe?? I love going fast in straight lines, but when it comes to tight curves/clover-leafs, I tend to really slow down to save on the tires. So the FE1 might be just right for me and my back.

(I had an 03' Impala that had very nice ride, and my 06' is okay but not as good as the 03'....I think the chassis was stiffer on 03'-it actually had crossing front shock tower braces, and on 06' my guess is they lightened car up (less rigid) and compensated with stiffer springs.
