Hey B... was your AFR reported from a wideband O2? Don't expect to see large gains from leaning it out to 12/1. Mine was at 10.4ish/1 last time and Vince tweaked it for me.

Haven't been back to the dyno since but... the car doesn't pull quite as hard as it did at 10.4. Since I added the TB it's almost back to where it was as far as hard accel. It's still weak on top almost identical to yours.

Guess I'm gonna forget the TT and go NA and put a set of headers on it. My dyno shop showed me a real good comparo from another customer's V6 and the 15 or so HP gain above 6K his had over mine!

I just picked up a Dashawk so maybe I can see a bit more of what's going on with mine. I haven't been driving mine as much lately... I've been having fun playin with the Acura....

You still haven't felt what a long tube feel like m8 you have the rsx right? I remember about 10 yrs ago before I got into subies I was actually going to settle for a rsx type-s. Nice cars but at that time I had to have a turbo and my subies served me very well for the next big 10 lol.

When your afr was in the 10's and after correction did you do a before after dyno or are you just going by feel? Just stay tuned and watch what going from rich to "correctly lean" will do. Not expecting anything major but I think total of 20-25 off peak is very doable.

bmorecam. thanks for posting up your results and constantly challenging our LLT for more power. You certainly have stepped up the testing for all of us to know what we can expect.

Looks good man! Now I demand pictures of the 6" velocity stack inlet. My buddy is always talking about velocity stacks and I think he might cream himself when he hears about this.

I've ridden in a V6 with headers but, it wasn't that much better than mine... at the time. Now, with my other mods, I might get some good, usable (for me on the road courses) mid and upper range gains.

I'm thinkin you might squeeze another 5-6 HP out of it with AFR leaned a bit.... This engine likes to be rich. Where a normal engine likes 12.5 to 13/1, this one will lose HP.

Yea, the RSX is my daily driver now. I might autocross it a bit till I mod it up with a turbo. I can do 400 WHP for about $2K and another $2K for cage, suspension, etc... It'll be a fun time attack ride in a year or so.

I haven't dynoed since Vince tweaked it. I was waiting to do the TB first.

You can see, it started to pull timing at 5800... I'm pretty sure it's from IAT heat soak. I have all the stuff to do the IAT relocaton... I've just been lazy lately and I was hoping the new seal would help a bit more than, it seems, it did... Guess it's time to "get her done"! hehe!

This is on a Mustang dyno...

Run was with the hood closed and with 2 high speed fans blowing into my intake above the splitter. I was testing my new seal around the Airaid box and monitoring the IATs . They went up to like 135F. AFR is via wideband sniffer...

nice numbers! i just had mine on the dyno monday. i asked for the AFR numbers, but they didn't include them in the print off, just on screen monitoring. not sure if the rotational mass of my aftermarket wheels is hindering me but they seem to think they made a difference. anyhow, not to thread jack...but here is mine for another comparison for you.

pulls were done in 3rd gear.

Thanks for the kind words mike! Like I said before, is no fun when you play by yourself so I enjoy sharing my information with everyone here. Plus this community rock!

I have a few pics in my album if you want to take a peek. The purpose of a velocity stack is velocity/lessen the turbulence/mass of air and it does all 3 very very well.

Coming from 11-12 sec STi's everything on my car kinda feel slower but after a while you kinda get used to the new level of power. Installing long tube won't have your neck breaking but is one of those mods where you can def feel. There are 3 things so far that I can say I got a good feel from it. Long tube headers, e85, and ported tb.

So you are saying another 5-6 over top of what I already have which should avg about 18-19? want to put your rsx on it just j/k, but I say close..about another 10 or more. I guess we will find out once vince send me the tune

not sure if these numbers are good for AFR...from what i've been reading they seem high. but im still new to this so im drinking from a fire hose trying to understand it all. i sent a data log to vince, he sent me an updated tune. asked what changes he made and he said "Just some minor fuel trim updates for your intake system, nothing big."

You are good. The afr is at high 11's to 12's. Nothing to worry about.

When he said minor fuel trim update it mean he corrected your maf. In another word he tuned your intake/maf. You must of had skewed fuel trims just like I used to get but probably nothing too major. After I went e85 the fuel trims went either north or south no matter what intake I had on.

Get something you can monitor your ecm with too.
