I agree the CF exposed hood will be glossy. I'm wondering about the sheen of the 'matching' gray stripe. I like the look of a matte stripe, but am wondering if they will make the vinyl glossy to match the CF.

I don't know about a gloss stripe. I've sort of been looking forward to the matte. This is why we need more information and pictures. It is a small, simple thing that can change the whole look of the car so IMO it is important to know the details. It is in GMs best interest to spill the beans because it means more money for them if people order these options.

Exactly, it could also mean upset customers if they order blindly without ever seeing pictures of the option, due to GM not making available before order date, and do not like the result.

I agree Bear. The T3Bee stripe is a faux CF pattern I believe, it was that way on the movie car. That would match the exposed CF weave pretty closely I imagine.

That's all we know. We are wondering what color the dark gray stripe is, if it is solid gray, and what the sheen is.
Thanks...

So would that just make the whole car one solid color including the hood? or will the exposed CF still be a black or dark grey color?

You can order just the exposed carbon fiber vent and have the rest of the car with out strips. That's what I'm doing at this point, if I like what there doing with the matching strip. Then I can always order after they give us more info, we have some time to decide and change things if we wish.

ok cool...so for example in your signature pic...the area behind the vents is black as well...if you opt for no stripe, the area behind the vent will be the color of the car?

The Vents are included in the insert, and the insert only comes two ways, either exposed carbon fiber or black, the stripes added would be on the roof and trunk. Either the stripe package will be black if you get the black insert or dark gray if you get exposed carbon fiber, but you don't have to get the stripe package on either.

Ok, so the whole raised part of the hood including the vents will be exposed carbon fiber if you get the exposed option? because on the Ashen Gray convertible thread ..the CF insert appears to be the same color as the cars. Just not sure how a SIM with no striped and the exposed CF would look...will it be a silver colored exposed CF? (its taking me a while to get this lol)

The exposed weave carbon fiber will be the same color no matter what. It just so happens Ashen Gray is very close to the color of the carbon fiber.
