Keep in mind holes were designed to allow gases to escape. Brake Pads have come along way from when drilled rotors came into play.

I'd stay away from drilled rotors - they are more for looks nowadays IMO. If you want a longer lasting rotor check out frozenrotors.com. They sale a ton of rotors to Road Coursers.

I got mine from R1Concepts. I didn't see them on the website so I called them.

Must be going crazy, thought I read something about F1 brakes not being cross-drilled/vented...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AM...mic_brake..JPG

Wonder why these have holes then?

I love my R1 Concepts drilled and slotted. I, like you, did it mostly for looks when I upgraded to the Brembo calipers. I don't race my car or anything, but the car does stop on a dime with my setup now, and I'm quite pleased with it.

If you're curious I also have the Hawk Ceramic pads and Pedder's SS lines with ATE Blue DOT4
Alot of Vette guys are using these and love them.

The best rotor Brembo makes for a street / race car and no holes.

If your swapping out rotors just for appearance, you're better off messing with something that isn't so critical to your cars performance. Plus, the average Joe is not going to really know the difference between stock and cross-drilled/vented rotors. I would leave them stock IMO.

They are Type III 72 Vane Wide Annulus Floating D-Bobbin Brembo Rotors

We have been speaking with Brembo about a Pedders series of very high end, best-of-the-best brake upgrades. They would be full race type brakes with daily driver service-ability. We would be using existing Brembo parts in a unique combination to create the equivalent of the Justice suspension packages with brakes. In some respects it is an esoteric exercise given the price points, but there are a few Camaro owners that will settle for nothing less than the best regardless of expense and the side benefit is I get to test them

Rotors are cooled by the internal vane structure. Holes in the rotors decrease the mass, and decrease the effective cooling and heat holding potential of the rotor.
