I use Mobil 1 and I'm getting 5k miles out of my OLM before it tells me to change (last two runs. Has only varied a couple of hundred miles).

Perfect, thanks to all! Glad I know I am not the only one the OLM will scold to change at 5k

If you haven't read this, do so, it explains how the OLM works.

I have the SS and got 9K between changes following the OLM when at 20%. Factors other than driving style/conditions that may play into the OLM on the V6's being shorter are:

1. Less oil 5 quarts vs 8 in the SS
2. The SS is calibrated based on synthetic oil vs the recommended dino oil for the V6

My 2 cents, your mileage and OLM may vary

I’ve seen people on these board with 8-10K miles on their current oil change with >20% left on the OLM.

I’ve been tracking my monitor, today I am at 2806 (since my last oil change) and I only have 47% left, from my readings this seams very low, but I’d like to gauge it and see.

Can some of my V6'ers post some of their recent stats? Thanks for the help!!
It all depends on how you drive the car...Fast...slow....hard take-offs...stop & go....1/4 mile runs....long periods of not driving....All this is taken into consideration by the cars Computer....My last oil changes was at 7200 miles..7600 miles ...6300 miles at 27%...7600 miles at 20 %
....Now I.m at 49 % with 3900 miles...

I am at 46% with 4326 miles. 3000 of which are highway miles.

I am yet to have my first oil change and have been driving her for about ten weeks.

I'm at 47% on 3,042 miles so that sounds right to me.

I think they lowered the percentages at some point cause when I got my re-flash done the monitor goes down more rapidly now.

I end up with 4800 between oil changes. I drive pretty hard half the time, lol. I do believe that has alot to do with it. My wife's new equinox gets 10,000 between changes.

There was a RECALL on the LLT equipped vehicles to reprogram the OLM. The OLM was set to high... GM tightened it up and shortened the oil life...
