Just thought of this dumb question....what's the best place to get the proper adhesion promoter and flat black paint? And I don't mean a website, I'd rather go pick it up.

I think Napa carries it. You can also try a automotive paint supplier distributor. I bought it online, it was easier lol.

So here's an update. Long story short, I have had everything I need to start painting, except the part. I had already ordered the part before starting this topic. After multiple calls to this company (who I will not name because I think they're a forum sponsor/vendor, you can PM me if you wanna know) throughout the two weeks I had been waiting, they continued to assure me it was on it's way from the manufacturer and "it should be there soon", but they don't have a tracking number yet. Until two weeks later (Friday), I called IVS (the manufacturer of the havoc body kit) and they told me that they never got an order from the company that I ordered it from. They also mentioned that they have been having issues with then a lot and are about to drop them because its making IVS look bad. I tried calling the company and so did IVS and neither one of us could get a hold of anyone on any extension. So I've been waiting around for nothing. No part was ever on its way and they consistently lied to me after speaking to them at least 3 times. I called PayPal and told them I want my money back from this company and they got it back for me within an hour (they are excellent at that). So I've purchased it from someone else on Friday, got a tracking number the same day and it will be here on Tuesday. I will be sure to post a picture of the finish of it out of the box.

Believe it or not, this was the short version of the story.

**Update**
Soo, it definitely needs to be painted:

The center is very nice though:

I scuffed, dried, degreased, and dried:

Sprayed about 2-3 coats of adhesive promoter, then did the same with satin black (all light coats):

It's drying and looking really good. Thank you guys so much for your suggestions/instructions. I will post more pics after 24 hours drying and more once it's mounting. We're expecting a lot of rain for a few days. Hopefully I can squeeze it in during a dry period. These pics were taken and uploaded from my phone using Tapatalk so the quality might be decreased. The final pictures will be better though, I'll be sure of it.

Lol, I really want to, but damn this rain. I barely have the room in my garage for painting :-( so I'll have to wait till hopefully Thursday when the rain should break.

Ok, I had to go in the garage to look and feel it before calling it a night. It looks great. But now I'm feeling like it'll scratch easily. It may not and it could all just be in my head, but does anyone think I should put some sort of clear coat on it tomorrow? Since I won't be installing it till Thursday anyway. I think I have an aerosol clear coat can. Can I just do a coat or two over the satin black?

Since I'm currently obsessed with this, I did a google search. Turns out there is a satin clear that I can use that will help protect the color without giving it a gloss. Gonna try to find that somewhere tomorrow.

Nice job!
Yes I would clear it if you have a compatable clear. Make sure its the right type of gloss youre looking for. And go easy on the coats. 1 or 2 should do the trick.
Make sure you post some installed pics!

Sprayed some matte clear coat last night. Like 3 coats....maybe 4, i don't remember I was so tired. It kinda resembles the finish of the OEM diffuser now, which is nice. No rain today until later tonight supposedly, so I'm gonna try to install it. Unfortunately, I'm at work and it will have to wait till this afternoon.
