i have a auto 335i i ran a 13.2 stock with better tires i think 13 flat would have been possible. with your mods you will take him i gotten beat before by a l99 with exhaust and intake. stock it has 300 tq compared to 420. if you want a challenge race on with the jb4 tune and if you want to be impressed race one with full bolt ons running meth

I'm not hating on either, I'm just saying its not always about power. I'm sure an SS camaro would smoke a Bentley but is there really a comparison?
I actually like driving my Camaro SS more than a 335 what's your point. Not as good as Porsche, overpriced, lots of problems, empty wallet throughout ownership and then some doesn't handle as good as M3 or modded Camaro SS trust me I know. Could have traded my L99 for one of those but I like money in my wallet so sorry Brake My Wallet.

I have had zero problems in my camaros for the lasy 2.5 years, which is more that I can say for thr 5k in maintanence I paid on my M3 over a six month period. Not trying to start an argument just sharing my point of view.
I wouldn't really say our CamaroS are equal in overall quality compared to German M3s even from 10 years ago but our Camaros are quality cars that I find acceptable. For the price I would rather have one over an Evo which I liked until I drove one and realize what a tin can death box it really was, would rather get the STI. Camaros chassis is still rigid enough to compare with the Germans and I love driving my car which is more than I can say for some higher end cars for more cash.

If you are planning on future mods, I'd get a tune. A tune makes a pretty significant improvement on the L99 A6s. The tranny tune (reduction in torque management and increased shift speeds) really helps.

I never ran my L99 A6 stock, but it ran 12.9 @ 108/109 mph (tune only) in
70 degree weather.

Took me H/C/I to beat one that had bolt ons and boost turned way up.

He was running low 11s.

Be careful with them. They can either be a complete slouch or blow your doors off. No way to really tell until he's behind or infront of you.

For what its worth I tested and could have easilly bought a 2010 335xi which was a very nice car and I liked it alot but maybe im just a rude and crude person because when I started toolin' around in the SS and the looks it gets...the BMW quickly lost its lustre.

I guess it depends on what you define as quality. I had own 3 BMWs prior to a Camaro. With the 7 year old M3 that thing was falling apart. Everything from window switches to dimming rearview mirror were known to break. I had to pay $800 for a "steering wheel sensor". I had to pay well over $1500 to fix a headlight problem. I was lucky enough to get rid of it before the more expensive and extremely common issues arose (SMG pump= $4-6000k, subframe cracking which often leads to totaling the car because of repair costs)

Just go to any BMW forum, especially M3 forums. The general discussion threads are riddled with questions and stories of parts breaking.

I remember hearing a story of an 06 M5 SMG. While crusing at 80mph the car shuts off, THEN restarts in 1st gear while still traveling at 80 mph, destroying many parts including the engine, trans, pump, etc. What kind of quality is that from a 100k luxery car?

With my 3 years of Camaro ownership: 0 issues

This is my personal opinion that is based on my own experience. I dont need any rude responses.

My co-worker has one and we take it to lunch all the time. It sure as hell doesn't feel fast but I'm sure it's pretty quick. He has the automatic if that makes any difference.

You didn't see my previous post didn't you, I totally agree with you and this is exactly what I was trying to point out. The class action suit against BMW to have the rear subframe on the E46 3 series was won and after that I really thought they were not really as reliable as I wished. This is why I now own my car. The rear end of our Camaros are way stronger than those E46s. I love my 2012.
