If you are in Texas as it appears, you don't need a VIN. You order the plates from MYplates.com and they send them to your local tax office - usually takes about a month. You then take in your registration and pay a fee and they link the plates to your car. Of course the question now is how long they will hold them while we are waiting for the ZL1s to actually get to us so the dealer can register them and give us the registration.

I will be transferring my plates off my 2010 SS onto the ZL1. It reads "MISTRES"

I am trading her in for a younger model.

Depends where your at, in Florida you do. What I did was order the plate for the car we are trading in ( IOM in siggy ). The plate should arrive well before the ZL1, then we will transfer plate when doing the paper work at the dealer.

I go back and forth with what I want, I'm currently on ZED L 1. Unfortunately ZL1 is not available in Illinois.

Transferring the plates from my 2010 2SS - noxqq (no excuse). Had Rte. 66 plates which had "SS" on the side design of the plate. Won't quite apply anymore.

In Louisiana, you have to have a registration first so my request has been denied until then. I'll post my plate once received also......

with all those cars you have, just get one u have registered with a custom plate .. then transfer it!!
