I am looking forward to doug thourley's long tube that they are currently working on, but I def wouldn't mind going with BBK or stainless as many have already pointed out.

I am in this same boat. I would have bragged up the OBX until the cows came home. BUT NOW, I am no longer saying much. Don't take this the wrong way. Running long tube headers and catless, has added a whole lot of mid range power, to the extent that I LOVE driving my Camaro harder than before.

However, this rust issue has me a little miffed. Had I known they would start to surface rust after only a month I would have taken them in and have them coated. For stainless steel you would think these should stay rust free.

I've driven in snow and rain on multiple vehicles with the SW stuff, and never had a rust issue,

Stainless headers shouldn't be rusting

I say wait until what DT has in store for us. I heard the price should be cheaper than what they already have listed for other makes.

speaking of DT, anyone know what is the current status of possible available date? I know it will be PITA to do another header install but with my emission coming up in 10 more months I might as well start my high flow catted version plan now. I hope DT don't kill us with the pricing.

Seriously Kooks is one of the premium brands. Kooks and ARH are the two big brands in headers. All high grade, mandrel bent, American steel made by American labor.

And to the OP, go long tube. Maybe more rasp, but the hp and tq are worth it.

I hadn't heard anything about OBX/rust issues. That really stinks and I'm sorry to hear that BMORE and Rat.
I would tend to agree that ARH is probably the cream of the crop. That said I doubt they make any more power than SW or BBK.

I've toured SW Facility. It's top notch, and they just keep adding on.

ARH is great stuff, i wouldn't put it above the SW though.
