I never paid attention since my warranty was gone before 500 miles and only have 7k on it after 3 years lol.

This is just a thought.

Approach this as a safety issue when talking to your service manager. As a safety issue
they generally have more leeway when you are out of warranty.

the live chevy chat support told me that, there is no extended bumper-to-bumper warranty. however they do have GM protection plans. that is why i had asked

I hope the warranty you are talking about works at any chevy dealer once bought.

The actual lens is faded. I have already tried using stuff to polish it off and stuff like that. It is my understanding that I have to buy a new headlight. Which sucks, but oh well.

How is it possible that the lens went from perfectly good to faded so much it needs replacement overnight? Usually these problems take time to develop and the car would have had to have been under warranty for some period overlapping that time.

hold on... what?

The inside of the Lens is fogged up?
.. if so.... then you know I suppose one could bake the headlight and pull it off as if they were installing the LED halos... and polish/clean it.

Can you post up some pictures of the headlight? It's hard to provide advice on an issue without seeing it, especially one like this.
