I would assume as well.

Thats Awesome. I've been trying to convince my grandmother to get one. She's looking at a new car coming from a 2004 (I think) Suburban Z71. She drove a CTS V and loved it! I think she'd be blown away with a ZL1.

"(....she tells me that she needs a ZL1 because it makes more noise than her "RS/ES")"

You best listen to your mother. How are you feeling Sir?

ES???

Wellll.......OK.......

a bit of a story - put the coffee on - I'll try to make this short..........but you know that I never make any story short............

The setting: Western Pennsylvania....

The year: The summer of 1964.......

My father and my uncle were both Chevy Dealers for many years - cousin Tom still is...........but I digress........

Anywhoo - one evening at the dinner table, "Mom" Settlemire told "Dad" Settlemire.......

"......I just saw a Mustang......and I want one....."

X 100,000........

(...personally, I think she'd have rather poked an eye out than to drive a Ford...but she loved to get my father 'going'........)

I think my father may have had a small stroke at that point.........but he put his fork down and said

"........ELAINE!........we sell Chevrolets.......there is NO WAY that you are driving a Mustang!......"

He and Uncle Tom then proceeded to "bribe" her with things like Impala SS convertibles and Caprice Coupes with Big-Block V8s..........

(there WAS a Corvair Spyder -- they were turbo charged back then......with a manual transmission....I think I still have whiplash from "Mom" jumping it thru intersections.......)

There were even a few Caprice Wagons with 396s or 427s under the hood.....

Fast forward to September 30th, 1966........Mom drove home from the dealership in an Emerald Turquoise Camaro Coupe demo...........

From then on, she had many Camaro 'Demos' - until Dad retired -- and ultimately went to .....(all together now....)....."That Great Chevy Showroom in the Sky"........

Once she had Grandchildren, she had to drive cars that were more 'practical' - but she never lost her love for Camaros........ (and fast cars......)

Fast forward to 2002.........the Camaro was going on Hiatus.......so I bought Mom a Red Camaro coupe.......and our good friend Mark Sideylnk from Chicago worked with me to get a "35th Emblem" created with "ES" rather than "SS" in the center............

(..........see-- it helps to be 'da Fbodfather's Mom'.......)

Fast forward to 2009......the 2002 Camaro was getting on in years.....still in showroom shape ......

(other than curb rash on the right side wheels)

(Mom's a card carrying member of the "National Curb Climbers Association"....)

......so I said to her - "OK.....it's time for a new Car........what about a Cadillac STS or CTS?" ........

Her response was: "......those are 'old lady' cars........I WILL NOT DRIVE AN "OLD LADY" car!......"

(OK......Mom still sees Cadillac as it was in perhaps the 80s........)

.......she even picked out the color - - Inferno Orange Metallic.......and thus, I made sure that it was an "RS/ES" edition.

( the "Tom Henry Racing" windshield header isn't visible on the pics - but trust me, it's there.......)

(...Mom's maiden name was "Henry"......)

Anywhoo............ the "ES" stands for "Elaine Settlemire" - the stripe is Black Granite Metallic - specially designed and painted at Cuz Tom's Dealership.......

Mom's an "Honorary Member" of several Camaro Clubs - and loves having everyone come to Mars each year for the "Tom Henry/PACE (Pittsburgh Area Camaro Enthusiasts) Annual Cruise to Mars" event........

...and, borrowing from Mr. Paul Harvey......."now you know the REST of the story......."........
