Built ZL1's available at Dealers

Both the Sands ones already have deposits. I checked this morning. Moving further down the list.

On another note. I went to the World of wheels in Boston Yesterday and Chevy representatives that I spoke to had no idea that some of the ZL1's were already built and were on their way to their customers, they did not even know that those have been held on Q.C. SAD i said. Spectators were asking me questions about it because the help could not answer any of their questions.
On display were: black camaro SS 45th anniv, IOM ZL1 and a black Corvette.

Okay GM please built my ZL1. I have been very patient.

nope. they work off the allocation methodolgy. if that delership has an alloctiona they can place the order from the way I understand it.

I still don't understand the principal of a sold order vs non-sold order as you can see by these lists there are plenty of solder orders to be build and a decent amount of non-sold on there way to dealers.

to se #15 as a non-sold order kind of makes me go???

Funny,

I spent weeks before ordering became available talking to those idiots. They had no idea what was going on and then called me and told me that the ZL1 was going to cost 80k out the door, i laughed all the way to Maroone in Lake Worth who hooked me up with MSRP. M. Henderson is the man.

The handling of this release by GM has been disappointing. Dealers are cluless about the car, can't get any brochures, and cars are being built to be placed on dealer lots. What about all the costumers that want a car and have had deposits on them for the past 5 months and may not get one? Are the lot cars going to be marked up? And forget about the QC hold, this bothers me less that the constraints debockle. At this point I do not feel that GM has been taking care of their customers.

I think it has more to do with how the dealer takes the order in the first place. If a dealer makes the choice to order it sold they usually have taken a deposit or placed it for a good customer( no deposit needed in some cases ) or they make the gamble that if they play the market and order it for stock they then can place it for sale to the highest bidder. IMHO don't buy from the the dealers that won't order it for you as a sold order. As a buyer that would be my prospective.
But if a dealer wanted to make easy money, order it stock, don't worry about constraints or issues with the build process and soon they will have a car that will sell very easy and will sell to the ones that want it the most.
