Yea a nice one with 2 way paging should be around $350-$400, you should be able to find each add on for less than $80.

"So someone could take a spark plug smash it, take a piece of the broken spark plug throw through your window. Then it shatters, push the window through climb through the window and take everything they want inside the car and then push the trunk button. Climb back out the window so the alarm doesn't go off. Then go through your trunk and you wake up to a burglarize camaro! "

Thanks now I won't sleep for a week.

Park near bushes. Hide in bushes with .357 magnum.

Just note that Viper does NOT record audio/video. As a matter of fact not a single car alarm does. What you are wanting is a surveillance system. A surveillance system designed to be used in a car will run a few thousand just on hardware.

I hope there are no thieves on this forum because this is the perfect procedure.

Wouldn't a brick work better? I have the Viper and I'm pretty sure it goes of no matter what goes through the window.

Alerts me on my smart phone as well.

Why would someone want to wake up the whole neighborhood if there trying to break in the vehicle?

Spark plug will not set off the shock sensor and the only noise there is...is when you push the window through and the broken glass fall on the seat which is not loud, given that it's tinted.

What i am looking for is an alarm system.

I mean if it is comprehensive with audio and video recording, why not get that?

But no, my original intention is to get the alarm system

Hey guys I'm a long time reader, but first time poster!
If you order a custom camaro from the factory do they offer a better alarm system to upgrade to instead of going through the pain of doing it after you get the car?
I've been watching some videos on installing a viper system and it's a pain to do after the car is already asembled, it would be so much easier on the factory line!
