it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

It's more like he's angry.

Don't let your Anger make you give up the car.

Keep the car.

Guess you should not have canceled the order you actually did put in to get this car that a dealer already had that you knew did not have the RS package that you want so bad, whether or not the dealer made the impression that he would get the package for you. Wasted all that time to try to get the car the way you wanted and gave up the order that you did have with what you wanted. Good luck, at least you got to enjoy it for a little bit.

Well that's what you get for jumping the gun. You lost out on your original order and aren't satisfied. It sucks that you're not happy with the Camaro but, like I said before, it's your fault.

With some mild customization, you could easily do the RS package by buying the parts separately. This is the worst reason to buy the car. No one is going to check your VIN to see if you really ordered it with the RS package, so having it be authentic is not a big deal.

I hope your buyer shows more appreciation for this car. It's an amazing machine, even if the headlights aren't HIDs. When did halos become the make-or-break reason for spending $30k?

sorry man, but I can't help but feel there is some underlying reason you are REALLY selling this car.

Anyway good luck with the sale and the new truck purchase.

P.S. I have an 09 GTS Lancer with 11000 MI on it if you want to trade. Hell I'll even pay for shipping of BOTH vehicles!!!

May not be a bad idea...

Newcamaroowner:

I don't know if you're planning on checking back to this thread before you make your truck purchase, but I would tell you to hold off...for a little bit.

Selling your current Camaro may not be a bad idea. It's a hot car, even dealers are getting above MSRP on it, and you stand a good chance of getting close to what you paid for it. What I would do though, is start blitzing the used car sites and placing ads: Cars.com, Autotrader...hell, it wouldn't hurt to take the thing over to Carmax (or any used car dealer in town) and see what they'll give you for it. But you've got to act quickly. Once Camaros start hitting the dealer lots, yours will plummet in price.

However, I would suggest that you wait a week before you buy a truck. You're not acting rationally or logically right now...you're acting like a guy who got burned on the purchase of his life and now you're hoping that by getting into something else (like a truck) it's all going to go away. THIS WOULD BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU CAN MAKE. Yeah, you'll get the truck and as soon as the first RS Camaro passes you by on the highway, you'll immediately regret it and feel sick. The only thing that will make this pain go away is a new Camaro, exactly the way you want it, with no compromises.

So, here's what I suggest. Sell the old Camaro ASAP. Breathe. If you don't have another form of transportation, rent a car or buy some cheap beater for awhile. Just wait a little bit and keep your options open. It won't be long before dealer lots will be flooded with Camaros and there will be rebates on all of them. You might even be able to get a marked-down SS for the same price as your V6. Or, you could even put in another order for a new Camaro and this time wait until the sucker comes in (and everything's cool) before you sign the paperwork.

I know what you're feeling. Two years ago, I tried to order a V6 Mustang with all the options. However, my old car was dying and my dealership was being most uncommunicative regarding my order. So, I jumped the gun and bought the first Mustang I could find. I also paid sticker for it because I had no idea how to buy a new car. Within two weeks, I totally regretted it, for a lot of reasons. Unfortunately, I was stuck with it because I was upside down on my loan.

Well, 18 months later, I walk into a Ford dealership on Labor Day, and I picked up a Vista Blue GT, fully loaded, for about the same price I paid 18 months earlier for my V6. Now, I am finally satisfied with my vehicle, and I will probably keep it for the next several years.

Look, you've already made one huge mistake, largely motivated by emotion. Don't make another one by buying that truck! I guarantee you won't be happy.
