It's just the way that people have been ordering them. They said a lot of people skipped over the RS option. I however would need it

They have a lot more coming. I think they have 6 on their lot now, and had 3 delivered already. So that is only 9 of their allotment.

I respect people who buy what they afford with a car and get the lower lvl trims but this isnt the type of car u wanna do that too. This isnt a corolla where u order the ce package this is a car u will be driving for 20 + years and handing it over to your kids when your days are over on this planet. U can take the v6 version load it up with the 2lt trim with the rs package for a insane great price. If it take's you another 6 months to save the extra 5k i would do it. I'm passionate about this car sorry if i offended anyone

So they get 5 Camaros and they aren't already sold? I mean....no one called these guys and place an order with them? Wow. Here ya go guys....more dealers that could have sold probably at MSRP and also could have probably drop shipped.

....(that goes for the folks that actually didn't care about paying over MSRP)...

From what they have told me, they are selling at MSRP and not over sticker. And they haven't sold their entire allotment.

I've heard that the cm is about dead as a unit of measurement. I haven't heard that word for many years. Anyway in the car design industry we use only mm. Even when we're talking about the total length of a car or the wheelbase we still say 4840mm or 2850mm. There's never any issue with converting units of measure that way I guess. And the most important cross section in the middle where the driver seats go is called the 3200 section even though in practice it rarely falls exactly on 3200mm in any given car. You have to admit that it would be awkward to tell the engineers to lower the car about 1cm or 11mm. We say to lower it 10 or 11 mm. :-]

Yeah people will be able to debate that one for a LONG time! I agree with you now even though I liked the SS one better for a long time too.

That doesn't mean that those aren't sold does it? That just mean they are expecting more in thru December that they don't have orders for yet. And selling them at sticker is what good dealers do... that doesn't mean they have extra. Screwing your customers for 6 months when you get a hot car comes back to haunt you. And dealers don't want to mess around now especially when GM is sending out those letters.

My wife WANTS your Camaro. And I was good, I didn't drool over it or touch it. The Silver is really gorgeous on it.

True. I was told that the only one on the lot that isn't sold is the red LS. When I say they have allocations, I meant that they still have some available to them to sell if someone is interested in ordering one. Most of the ones that they have received were preordered or picked up within a few days of hitting the lot.

And Paddock is selling at MSRP. I went to check out the Red Jewel and asked.

Saw the IOM 2SS at Malouf Chevrolet last week, going out the door for $45,000. I scrutinized the vehicle looking for gilt-edged trim and was disappointed in not finding any. With taxes and fees, a shade under 50 Grand? Please. The average-joe would be stymied by such an inflated figure.

As for "camarojoe's" essay: Nice work.
An above-average guy.

I think that wrinkle; i.e.: "Drop-shipped" will be worked-out sooner rather than later.
Once the initial wave crests there'll be Camaros available for spot delivery.
