You should have received your order # when you ordered your car. Depending on how many "orders" your dealership has in front of you, it could be a long wait. I ordered on the 5th and was told September ish. That was before the 1 week shutdown , extra shifts, OT and additional allocations were announced so I don't think anyone really knows when to expect arrival. If your dealership was one that took more orders than they had allocations...........................

* Hello this is GM. You are number 20,000 to order a 2010 Camaro please step to the back of the line*
In all seriousness, I was told by my Dealer that their Workbench is only updated on Mondays. Of course, I live in Canada, and GM Canada works a bit different from the US version. |

for the most part that is GREAT advice, because we want the car there ALMOST as bad as the folks that have ordered the car
after making sure the car has been ordered, in general we can't do much else but wait as well:( |

I am from Canada. The guy who owns a dealership near me said if I ordered a new one now at current line speed it would take seven months. You guys over there get stuff before we do so it might not take that long for you. Mine have been built for a month. I still have not seen it.

Order code
Quote:
Every order goes through this same process. That's why you see guys who submitted a "consensus order" in October still waiting for their cars. By the way, a consensus order is only a way for people to raise their hand and tell GM they will be ordering a car when that is possible. The Camaro was the first time GM let customers actually put their name on a consensus order. GM didn't actually start accepting orders until February 09. No one actually "ordered" a car until then.

You're not getting screwed!
If you call and ask them for any info they have on your order they should be able to tell you something. Your order number ( for example: NDDGHV) and possibly what order code you are at (for example: 1100 preliminary order). My dealership has six allocations and only two are built. The third order is at 3300 and the fourth, fifth, and sixth are at 1100. I don't think any dealer will try to "screw you over". Most dealers just don't want to give out too much info because they feel the customer will get dissappointed if things don't go perfectly. We'd all rather under promise and over deliver than the opposite.
