Sweet! Thank you! Will give them a call Monday. With that I will go with the Block. Thanks again.

I cannot remember if the block off plate comes with a gasket. Here is an aftermarket one that looks just like it:

Ah, found it! 12553210 is the GM part number for the block off plate gasket.

Ah, found this too! 11588949 is the number for the screw in freeze plug to block the hole in the block. Yay for me (you). When you contact gmpartshouse, use that number and have it cross referenced with the one they sent me on the invoice.

Good luck!

I bought a block off plate (p/n 12577903) and a block off plug. I do not know the block off plug part number. I ordered it through gmpartshouse.com. The original part number (block off plug) I ordered was no longer in production or was superceded. However, they came through with a replacement. Their site doesn't show part numbers so I am not sure. The invoice for the original plug says "oem catalog" the one they sent comes from the "accessory catalog". They are the same price and probably the same item.

I also read somewhere that factory Non Z06 corvette oil cooler lines will bolt in.

I cannot remember where I read it though. Obviously, you would have to clip the lines and adapt them an external cooler of some sort. I am not sure of which would be cheaper, using an aftermarket block or using the factory one from the vette.
