OP poses an interesting question. I went with the 6 speed because it just didn't seem right to drive a V-8 Camaro with an automatic. But, that's just me. I also didn't want the cyclinders cutting on and off all the time.

Well i'm glad you got your money's worth and you can live with the results. It's good to have the best of both world's a stick and automatic.

OK, I'll play. An auto drives itself.

Stick, but not because i hate autos or anything (i loved the magnesium hypershifter thingy in a GTI i drove awhile back). Just cant have a bad day if your rowing gears on a ballsy car

Bought a 2012 V6 with an automatic and it was fun but the more mods i did. (C.A.I., MRT-V2 exhaust) etc. i was doing more paddle shifting and was driving it more like a manual.

I went to a local 5th gen. Camaro meet and seen some very nice SS's so a week later i traded my V6 for a SS with 6-speed manual and i couldn't be happier. I have the V8 that i want and imo nothings better with a V8 than a M6 transmission. Now the road begins with modding the SS again

Automatic. I get tired of pushing a clutch. And I always have the paddle shifters, which are fun fun fun.

Once in a while I drive my wife's super-turbocharged Subaru Baja. It's a fun little rocketship, but after a few minutes, I get tired of the footwork.

Was going for an LS3.....wound up with an L99.

Not half as slow as many people here would have you believe. My brother just bought an '11 LS3 and I don't see a difference between the two.
