I've never heard of 145mph limit. I've heard of 118 and 155. There is always a ton of confusion on this subject.

The fasted recorded on video by an owner with a stock V6 with RS has been 146mph.

The only model that comes without a limiter from the factory is the ZL1 coupe.

147MPH is very doable. I've seen it personally, won't say where or when but it was a bone stock RS. I've seen it and they ran out of road.
Mine has had the Trifecta tune added so I'm thinking on closed track or private strip, 162-165 is possible.

I don't think a stock V6 could break 160 even with a tail wind. The drag is too high on the car.

Because top speed threads seem to get locked. Merely an observation.

And yours is incorrect.

You think a stock v6 can break 160 mph?

V6 with RS package is gov. to 155 but the motor runs out of umph at 146, seen quite a few vids on youtube to prove it. so a v6 rs will do 146 before the engine can't push it any faster even though its gov to 155. anyone claiming over 146-147 has mods done or is lying, point blank.

I redlined on the dyno at 151, but have never gone that fast on the street or track.

No, it's not. Once AGAIN-- the limiter ("limit") is set at 155. Now, whether it can get there or not, I don't know, because I've never tried it, though I do know of people who have gone over 150 on a dyno.
