I've driven over 5,000 miles in a front plate state with my plate in my window. Have yet to be pulled over

Is TX a front plate state?

I haven't run a front license plate on any of my past vehicles in years and haven't had an issue. Course I don't give reason to by not driving like a Jacka**

that's not as fun as asking your passenger to put a piece of ductape over their mouth while you put some cuffs on them. You have to be quick, before they get to the car. Then the fun begins.

Serial killer Ted Bundy was caught twice because of routine traffic stops.

Cool.

Just don't start a thread complaining if you get stopped/cited for it.

Do the crime, pay the fine! I've ran without a front plate in Houston for almost 3 1/2 years and got my first warning a month ago. I realize that I might get a ticket but would rather pay that then punch holes in my front bumper.

Luckily here in PA no front plate requirement, as of yet. It would be a hard decision wether or not I would put one on. I foresee every state eventually going to the front plate requirement. It would make it easier for LEO to figure out wether or not they can pull you over for it.

A no front plate stop is called a pretext stop.

What? we arent allowed to randomly pull people over for no real reason? We will just manufacture a reason, that cant be an invasion of privacy at all....I mean they did it in Germany and that turned out well didnt it?

Not like someone stopped on the side of the interstate woud be dangerous for them or the cop or anything......

I'm not sure this would qualify as "no real reason". It may be stupid, insignificant, etc, etc....but it is a legitimate reason.
