How? There is NO BOYCOTT he was reading a poll omg...

It's called editorial.

Rush is one of the ONLY big media people supporting cars like the Camaro SS.

It's on the target list to be destroyed. No more v8 sports cars would make a LOT of people happy.

This isn't hype, it's fact: The Obama administration intervened by giving GM loans so that GM could pay their suppliers and keep factories going.

If the govt hadn't done that, GM would have had to shut down all its factories. NOBODY would be getting their Camaros, and more importantly, thousands of factory workers would have been sent home.

That's what Limbaugh wants. Yet ironically, if that had happened, I guarantee you he'd be blaming Obama for letting the economy tank.

Time to wise the %&$ up, people.

Insert a pic of an LS3, L99, or any modded engine.

The gov't auto team would love to just get rid of this whole 5th gen Camaro.

It's complete opposite of the Federal direction on clean, low hp, small vehicles.

This car is messed up... fun with burning gas fast? No... (making a point).

So you don't have a "target list", correct?

What the administration implemented is a fleet average. In other words, GM can produce all the V8s it wants, as long as it also provides fuel-efficient vehicles that balance them out.

There is no "target list".

Furthermore, Obama has made a HUGE political bet on GM staying alive. Do you seriously think they are going to force GM to kill off one of its most profitable products? No. Not going to happen.

Our new administration was quick to push CAFE standards to 42 mph by 2016. If this comes to fruition, not too many V-8s gonna be around. You will have to sell a whole lot of Aveos to compensate for 1 V-8

How do you know this? It's amazing what kind of fuel efficiency engineers can come up with.

I'm getting a V6 Camaro that gets 29 mph highway, courtesy of direct-injection technology. My Camaro will likely get the same MPG as my 10-yr-old Honda Civic.

Why do you see this as a bad thing? Do you enjoy shelling out $100 to fill up your tank every couple of days??

I think any time the government steps in to tell us what is good for us is a bad thing. I'm getting a V-6 Camaro as well, but 29 mpg highway is a long way from 42 MPG average.

If you want Obama to succeed because you want this country to succeed; then you are an unfortunate patriot. I too am a patriot; but I love this country enough to know that we cannot survive under a socialist/keynesian system. If you truly are a patriot, then you must know how this country became the greatest country in the world. It was thru hard work; ingenuity; the entrepreneurial spirit; and the freedom to make your own decisions and choose your own life knowing there would be no one to help you if you failed. But that is the cost of freedom.

Any government will only act to destroy your liberties, whether you know it or not. And the most dangerous part of our current government is that it won't be obvious, nor will it be purposeful. It will be thru the intentions of creating jobs, eliminating poverty, protecting us from ourselves, and giving everyone an equal share of the pie. But the road to hell is paved with good intentions. And these good intentions sound even better with a charismatic leader, filling our ears with hope, and change, and equality, and fairness.

I believe Obama is a genuine person, who truly cares for this country, but the unintended consequences of his actions may destroy our country. Fortunately, if history is any evidence, Obama's policies will fail in the long run, but hopefully soon enough so that we may still reverse his actions and take our country back to what our Founding Fathers envisioned.

And he does commercials for them.

How is that a boycott when he talks about buying vettes and tahoe's?

He also purchased a brand new 2009 Tahoe for a caller in Kerrville Tx recently.
