It is solely because -- as they have already admitted -- they want to see Obama fail.

Never mind that if GM fails, thousands of Americans will lose their jobs, regardless of what Obama does. Thousands of jobs lost = collateral damage, for these guys.

What is important to them is that they be proven Right. Now who "hates America"?

Actually he just purchased a loaded Chevrolet 2009 Suburban 4x4 and traded in his old Chevrolet Suburban.
It's a vehicle used by staff and to run errands etc. Not his main ride.

And he does commercials for them.

This is the pickle that GM itself is to blame for - follow me here.....

Democrats and liberals are "stereotypically" the buyers of imports, Prius, econoboxes, and being very "anti-GM" for GM's SUV persona.

Republicans and conservatives have "stereotypically" always been supportive of GM because they tend to tout the "buy American, bigger is better, F*** the imports and their tinny Priuses" attitude.

HOWEVER, republicans and concervatives are also VERY, VERY anti-government intervention. They preach small government, let companies succeed and fail as they might, help business by cutting taxes, not supporting them during a bankruptcy......

So now, you see the catch 22 GM is in right now. The dems won't buy GM because of the stigma of their gas hog SUVs, and now the repubs won't buy them because they are under control of the government.....

Whatever the new GM will be, they have a crapload of work cut out for them to gain America's acceptance again.

Once they went to capitol hill and begged for help, GM brought all the hell and damnation of ugly politics into their glass tower at the RenCen, and now it's really hit the fan.

They need people to focus on cars and cars alone, and cut through all the politics.

Rush Limbaugh is a complete idiot. (I'm sorry but if you are even an extremely right-winger, this guy is just plane embarrasing you guys).

He has always been "out there", but when he said that Michael J Fox was exagerating his condition and then proceeded to make fun of him, well, that was pretty F'ed up.

I really doubt that anyone will pay attention to this boycott call.

The world will pull out of this crisis. We just need to keep doing what we're doing. Live each day, go to work, buy your groceries, and treat yourself to a Camaro or other cool toy if you can. As a Canadian, I think that Obama is the best thing ever to hit the US. People like Rush want the world to forget that Obama INHERTIED the economy from ol' Dubya and we (as Canadians) think he's doing all the right things so far to fix it all. The poor guy has it really tough but we all believe in him and we hope people like RUSH and the morons over at FOX NEWS will be put in their place one day.

Obama has done nothing but increase our national debt and spend, spend, spend. Whatever was inherrited from W is worse now than it was 6 months ago. Unemployment is through the roof thanks to Obama. And no, I don't think McCain would have done any better.

Problem is, its all politics and no one puts forth plans to really help get our economy back on track. It's all politics. And Obama is just as bad as the rest of them.

Just because you don't like him doesn't make him an idiot. He is very calculating and cunning. He is just short of a billionare. And he gets his money by making people talk about him and call him an idiot. Jokes on you.

That being said, I know he's a spin artist. I am a conservative Republican and yes I too think you just let them fail. So we approach a deppresion and it's bad. It will be impossible 15 years from now with a house of cards economy and no foundation.

People give ALL the media too much weight, the same could be said about MSNBC, and even Bill Maher, face it they are all out to get your attention. I do not put weight on any radio or TV commentator, both sides are way too far out there to be unbiased and do not give the common person enough credit to think for them self's. First of all, it takes a lot longer than six months to turn things around.

But things are already starting to get better.

Is Obama a politician? Yes, no doubt. But compared to Bush, the guy is a huge improvement.
