I am also planning on buying a 5th gen here in the near future. I believe I am going to go with manual. The only downside I could think of was learning how to drive manual better. I'm hardly ever in traffic though. Also I don't like the idea of the L99. The whole extra electronics and killing cylinders thing just sounds like something to fail and cause headaches down the road.

I also like saying LS3

So what I'm gather is I better just test drive them both when I go. And for those who asked, it's not bumper to bumper but definitely a lot of stop and go. There is also a lot of construction on my way to work and there is only one route to take which is streets.

I like you do a lot of city driving and I'm only 22 went in and test drove an auto n knew this wasn't for me never test drove a manual and purchased a 13' ls3 2ss and never once thought about an auto again especially with the dual mode exhaust never owned a manual car but have driven from time to time and cannot complain

Manual for sure. No need to get the auto and then pay for LS3. Just get the LS3 right from the start. You will be driving like a pro in just a few days. They are much more fun to drive and no AFM!
