Hey, at least you are attempting to use your PTM modes as designed, Im still trying to just understand them. Thanks for your posts, it helps me a lot.

Only stability and traction control are on when no PTM mode is selected. This means you have full use of all 580 ponies. Once a PTM mode is chosen your power is cut depending on vehicle situation (ie full throttle on corner exit or from a rolling start). Don't believe me then read the owners manual or try it for yourself. Mode 4 uses more engine power than mode 2

Difficult question to answer...because, technically...PTM, in any mode, is the ultimate Nanny. It uses the most sensors and other inputs to modulate Stabilitrac and other adjustments both on-the-fly, and predictively. But it can trick you into thinking it's less of a Nanny in modes 3, 4, & 5 because it allows so much freedom.

I agree with much of what's already been said, though. Glad to see so many people who understand what their cars have to offer!
