I have the blade spoiler and have never seen it reflecting even at night.

My hotwheels car has only the one on the spoiler. There is a blockoff panel where the window one was

just say ...
you unplug the one in the window, a person rear-ends you then gets a good layer and you lose....it could happen.not that i like it but it would open the door for a negligence suit.

just my 2 cents...........

That is becasue you had a spoiler made and designed for a VERT installed on your ride......and the answer to you 2nd question is NO.....it would make your car more visible, which is a GOOD thing.

So anyone w/ two working brake lights out of three would still lose in court if they were rear-ended? Don't think so...

BTW - to the OP - personally I would leave them all working unless you could somehow remove the window light & make it look like it was never there.

Goodness this must be lawyers Camaro web site. Un plug the one in the back window. You will still have three brake lights just like factory. If someone is going to rear end you, I promise that fourth (actually sixth) brake light wasnt going to stop them.

It's a redundant brake light that's half obscured by the dovetail spoiler. If some jackass can't see the 5, yes with the "3rd" light we have 5 brake lights, then the sixth one he disconnected wouldn't have helped matters.

I know a lot of Maximas tend to have this situation, and I think it looks stupid as all hell.

If it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it. If I'm in my truck and I pull up behind you, I could see all of your brake lights. If I was in a Smart Car, I might not.

If it's not doing something hideous, I'd simply leave it be. Hopefully it will annoy the piss out of whoever is being a dikhole too busy texting to otherwise notice and PERHAPS save your car from another idiot to distracted to drive properly.

The factory vert spoiler has no light in it. The third brake light is mounted the panel between the top and trunk lid. The GM dealer installed dovetail spoiler does and I think this is what the OP has.
If the dealer or someone else installed the spoiler they just tied the light in the spoiler into the existing wiring for the factory light. No harm no foul. Usually any factory installed spoiler with a light in it is the only third brake light the car will have. The one in the back window is deleted at the factory.
