Had a lot of manual cars over the years so no stranger to em but I hadn't had one in a while when when I picked this car up. Took a little getting used to again and I stalled the car the other day in in traffic. Still has the temp tags so everyone was probably like ooooh new car and he can't drive it LOL. Oh well whatcha gonna do.

We have all done it a time or two lol

What's worse is when the stupid second gear grind acts up, everyone thinks you missed a shift when it's the stupid clutch master cylinder acting up.

Did that at the track once. My husband was just glad that the lack of moving had nothing to do with something being broken...

I had the same experience test driving the Corvette 427. My gf wanted to buy the car because it was "pretty" and I had suggested against her buying it because it was manual. So after she put down the payment, the dealer told me to go take it for a test ride. Well, first light I came too, I was fearing a massive 500+ HP launch so I eased it. Stalled the car out right in the turning lane onto the highway.

Luckily from there, I got back into manual mode and have been happy ever since. Now it's the fun part of teaching the gf how to drive manual.

It's all good, at least you weren't in reverse.

Ya it happened to me, but considering I've never driven a manual car before this one I was doing my best and did not care what people around me thought.

However so you don't feel so bad ... from time to time when parking the car I have a good habit of leaving it in first with the parking break up, only problem is I sometimes forget to turn the car off before releasing the clutch , but I don't consider that a stall though because I was going to turn it off anyways

This is gonna be really stupid but one time at a red light i was checking out this hot girl and when it turned green I accidentally shifted into reverse and I actually started driving backwards I had the music pretty loud so I didn't hear the "beep" when you shift Into R. And luckily no one was behind me. But atleast I haven't stalled my car yet.

Ha is it bad to just turn off the car and then put the gear in 1st?

No not at all. But if I'm driving or reversing into a spot I usually just leave it in gear pull up the handbrake and turn it off. Driving automatic as a DD, some things just aren't second nature yet.
