I voted no, but I take the standpoint that they should be using better materials at the price point I am already paying. $43,000 car should not be chock full of plastic, and yes it has leather but really cheap leather. The leather in the Jeep is way better, and the RX300 before that was even better.

5-7k would probably cover the cost of the parts and also the cost of the production. They already basically have something similar.
1LS, 2LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, 2SS, ZL1 and soon the Z/28. On top of that you have the RS package, Hot Wheels edition, Inferno Orange Interior and the 1LE. Not to mention the previous editions such as the Transformers Edition and 45th edition (and others that I might have missed) If Chevy has been able to get away with so many models and editions. I don't see why they couldn't offer a luxurious edition. Some people would like it, others wouldn't, but that's why they already have so many editions. |

How many people are going to buy the Hot Wheels Edition or the Neiman Markus edition or any other edition that costs $5k+ ? It's not going to be a high percentage of the overall market for the car. But it gives the entire product line more appeal and interest. To me - having a first rate interior as an option would appeal to a larger audience than some of the other editions out there. Guys like me would be a perfect target market: We grew up loving muscle cars and now we have executive positions in the work force. I love the Camaro look but would prefer the quality of interior found in the Audi A5, BMW 3 series, Mercedes E-coupe, etc.. It doesn't have to match the interior quality of these cars completely but stepping it up a notch would be a really welcome thing IMO. |

And I'm not saying that the Camaro should have a major overhaul or even fully reach the level of quality in the A5 but I think going up to the next level would be great. I'd pay for it. They're bringing back all the old monikers. Bring back the Berlinetta and take the interior to new levels!! |

I've had ppl (women in particular) say the interior is too plain. I simply tell them, its a muscle car. Its not made to be luxurious. If I wanted luxury, Id buy an audi or something in relation to it. I prefer simplicity over all the "luxurious" items you could have.

Luxury? The car we have ordered and gets built next week is a 1SS. It has two options. First, we opted for the Boston Acoustics speaker upgrade. I have enjoyed the Bose systems we have had in the past, and having just heard the BA system this weekend for the first time, I am sure we are going to be happy. The second option is the 1LE option. So to answer your question as to whether I would pay for a fancy interior, the proof is in the pudding. The 2SS option is just about the same price as the 1LE option, and to me there is no question as to which way to go. As far as the belief that they need more luxury at this price point, neither the Jeep nor the RX300 are capable of holding 1G in a corner!

I would pay for more luxury personally. I am a big fan of well-designed interiors with quality materials. If it was worthwhile, looked good, and was comfortable, I'm all for it.
That being said, I don't think a Camaro is the right vehicle to target a luxury interior.

There's an a$$ for every seat - if you build it someone will buy it... I'd love extra leather, heated steering wheel, Sam Elliott's voice telling me where to turn, chrome knobs and buttons and so on. If I had the money I'd pay extra for extra comfort. I'm not planning on racing it.

I don't want "luxurious" but I would like to see some improvement. Personally I couldn't care less about keyless start or even climate control (which I admit I like in my MKX & Flex). What I would consider a massive upgrade would be some improvements to the door, console, dash & other trim plastics - where they do not scratch when you look at them.
You make that one improvement somehow & I would love the car as-is. |

Already did. Dusk SE has upgraded/softer leather. Love the interior of this car! Not a fan of push button start. Auto climate would be cool. Otherwise, I love all the features of this car. Power, multidirectional, heated seats, heated mirrors, connectivity, etc.

Perfectly happy with the standard 1SS interior...

Not at all. I'm fine with it as is. Hell I don't even want some of the stuff it has now and mine is a 1SS. People can pay what they want for a car, but the upper end Camaro prices are already starting to creep up on cars with a much better pedigree.
