Would YOU pay extra for a luxurious interior?

The thread where the person was contemplating a Camaro or an Audi S5 got me thinking. I would DEFINITELY pay an extra $5-7k premium to have a very high quality, luxury interior with all of the modern-day bells and whistles (higher quality materials, higher perceived quality, auto climate control, push button start, etc..).

How about you?

Then the question arises, does it make it a Camaro? Is it a good business case for Chevy to pursue? Would it price the Camaro out of the range of it's intended buyers(niche market)?

Check out the '14 SS. I'm seriously going to check that one out. The picks on line look good and 426 hp.

It's just more weight on a already heavy car. I'd rather it be more simple. Race bucket seat option rear seat option radio option things like that. Rather than making the inside with 2 options leather seat or fabric. Make the car more personalized.

$5k for a push button start and a different climate control? that would be a terrible move

you've already got leather everything, heated seats, HUD, 7" touch screen, leather on the dash, power seats, Bluetooth everything, sunroof, all the basics are covered

funny that i saw this thread tonight. i spent most of the day ripping out interior to lighten the car for the track this summer. going to mid ohio in may and vir in june. everyone has their own preferences that is obvious to them. to me anything that doesnt make the car go or stop is in the way.

I'd at least like a push button start

Are you going for the classes to be able to run on the track?

I'd definitely pay a bit extra for more leather and some real carbon fiber trim. Probably not as much as 7k extra though.

There's definitely a market for it, but I'm not part of that market. Take a look at the Nieman Marcus Camaros. The problem with this is the production side. Any custom Camaros would have to have a separate set of features from other models, and that adds to the cost of production. The Camaro is a refined vehicle, but is it worthy of prohibitively high pricing that is associated with high end cars? We're talking about $50k V6s with fine leather stitched with gold adjacent to rare wooden panelling in place of every piece of plastic.

Push To Start would be AMAZING. I honestly almost bought a Challenger over my Camaro just for that feature.

There is a GIGANTIC aftermarket and custom market available. I have worked over a ton of my interior to look how i want in materials not available from GM. Mod until you drop.

The interior of my Dusk is more luxurious than the last BMW and Caddilac I was in

Plastic center console is the only thing that seems cheap
