That's what I might do too.

But I think I will run a set of the super bright LED DRL's. The color temperature on these units are 8000K which should be close to the HID's. I am also going to change all of the other lights in the car...for example the reverse lights, dome lights and license plate lights to all LED. I have them in my Denali and they look sweet. I'll get some pictures and post them.

If you wanted to do it for looks, the factory "fog lights" would look silly with the HID's so you would have to change them to HID as well. This would be extremely blinding to other drivers and in some areas if your headlights blind a driver and it causes an accident, YOU are listed as being at fault.

Anyone disappointed?
Just pick one or the other...

By the way, the RS cars look badass with the HIDs as the DRLs.

you're forgetting the DRL fail-safes. if this car is anything like my 10 yr-old truck, it's wired to use another light system if the DRLs lose power. even that system has a backup.

i tried this in my truck just to see what happened - pulled the DRL relay, headlights came on. pulled the headlight relay, highs came on.

point is - it'll take a little more engineering than just throwing a switch in the line

If it is looks that you want, nobody will be able to look at the front of your car with both the halos in HID and the fogs converted to HID's at the same time..So it is pointless to do so.. The halogen bulbs we are all used to can both be on at the same time and not blind people..If that is the look you want, which I prefer myself, then you simply don't get the RS package..

I am sure you and many others will rewire your DRL's on a separate circuit so you can switch them on and off as you wish.
Please refer to those "lower lights" as DRL's when talking about cars with the RS package!

The halos are pretty slick, but I like the Non-Rs ones more, they bring a different look to the car, plus having the all the lights on looks badass

I actually hate the look of the fog light DRLs. I find myself just turning them off or running the halos by themselves--looks bad-@ss, IMHO!

My Jeep liberty runs both Fogs and Heads at the same time. The Halos just look bad a$$.

If anyone thinks it just looks "cool" to use both fogs and lowbeams at the same time, you don't know how to use your lights for your advantage, safety, and safety of other drivers.

This has a lot of good info...

Oops... Forgot to also mention "bad-ass". Is that hyphenated?

I didn't know they wouldn't work together and I looked and looked at everything trying to figure out how to get the fog lights to come on in addition to the Hid's. I finally read the book and discovered the truth for myself. I laughed then was just ho/hum about it.
