This was an intentional attack. By whom or for what reason remains unknown, but it was no accident.

Sources are all pretty consistent with the 2 fatalities and 23 injured.

Now someone is saying the police have a surveillance photo of a "suspect"

If SWAT detonated the devices, they may have a more difficult time processing the evidence, though.

I hope they can track where they got the materials from to make those devices. It's a crazy world we live in this generation.

I feel bad for the victims. Never expect anything like this to happen at a Marathon of all places. If they do have a suspect it could would be great. Someone definately planned this well. I believe they flee the crime scene as the crowd as running..which lead to two devices not going off.

I do not think the news has speculated exactly who caused this incident, but there is no doubt the perpetrators picked a very popular event.

From Wiki: "The event attracts 500,000 spectators each year, making it New England's most widely viewed sporting event."

What will happen in the future with this event is CLASSIC.

NEXT year, if they even have this race, the entire perimeter from beginning to end, will likely have armed military all over the place.

I can already see it now. 10 to 100 times more law enforcement involved ANYTIME some kind of event like this takes place. (no matter what city you live in).

Hopefully they can figure out what happened and who caused this.
