I ordered from Reliable on 6/13 and was told it takes about 8 weeks for delivery. I put down the 1000 as a deposit with my order and was told it goes towards price of car. They were the only dealership in the area that would answer my email questions without sending me some for letter about why I should buy from them. I will pay MSRP and have that final price in writing. No complaints so far.
I can't wait until it gets here!

Wow. 8 weeks? Did they tell you where you are in line?

P.S.: Congrats on your purchase!

They told me 3-months at the most. If the car gets here July 8th, they are pretty spot on.

I didn't order from Reliable but they are the nicest folks around. I wanted to see a new Camaro SS and they had one in the dealership. My Camaro had been on order for about 7 months and I still had not seen one.

I asked them if I could see theirs...and they had a cool open door policy. I spent 20 minutes studing it and they answered a couple of questions that I had. I bet they are some good folks to do business with and they are just some super people.

Plus, it seems like this system gives Reliable too much flexibility with when they deliver on my order. :(

What do you guys think?
It only adds around $15 a month.

The way Brian explained it, a previous order has to fall through for it to be worth doing:

People started ordering the cars back in November and we are still waiting for those cars to come in so it is not a 1 month process by any stretch of the imagination. There are people that ordered back then that lost their jobs and cannot take the order placement. This is where the speed pass comes in. People that want to car fast take that spot over and go to the front of the line.
So sounds to me like no guarantee the speed pass will pay off.

I am still hopeful for August allocation, but September looks more likely, and I should have my car by October, which would still be about 4 months.

I asked my salesperson and they said to add 2 or 3 weeks more. :( They don't have an order number for me yet so it may be longer. We ordered around the same time. Its looking more like September. We will have to wait and see...

How long does it take to get an order number? I still don't have one or any status. :(
I think I would be happy just to know it has been ordered.

Your sales person will become your best friend during your time of wait. He or she should have an order number once it is in the system. When I ordered in October, I had an order number a few days after I placed the order. I don't know if that would be the case today. I emailed Brian @ Reliable on a weekly basis just to touch base with him. He always let me know any time there was a change.

I went by the dealer last week and they said I was #11 in line and they were now taking orders in the 40s. I think it will be much longer than the 8 weeks they told me when I ordered. I knew I would have to wait but wish they would have given me a more realistic time frame.

Well thats good news! Sounds to me like your car and mine have a good shot at August acceptance. My understanding is that Reliable was given 10 allocations for July, and that was with a week-long plant closure. Hopefully they'll get closer to 15 or more allocations in August. Having over 40 orders waiting should help under the "turn and earn" allocation system that is being put in place.
