Sorry if this is a repost. I was hoping to get a strong thread going of folks who ordered from Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson. I placed my order with Brian Prosser on 6/9. I'm hoping this takes no longer than 3 months, and I'm really glad I didn't preorder. Waiting 8+ months would have been unbearable for me. I didn't really start considering the purchase seriously until March.

I orderd from there and worked with Brian Prosser after my order was mis-handled by the first person who no longer works there. BRIAN IS AWESOME...

I know Amy (Blevina) did too but she will speak for herself. (I thinks she's a fan of Brian's too) :party0038:

Yes, I work with blevina. It was her car that pushed me over the edge. She took delivery on 6/4, I ordered on 6/9. Thanks for posting.

We did the pre-order back in November with Jose who is no longer there. Been working with the Sales Manager, Mark West. Great guy, keeps me informed and doesn't seem irritated when I call!

Expect to see our new baby by end of week.

I went in to Reliable, and got the "$1000" over sticker will move you to the front of the line comment. Maybe I was talking to a bad salesman... I ended up ordering from Classic, but I live much closer to Reliable.

Ordered from them back in April and got a call last week and they said they pulled the order and it's scheduled to start production on the 29th and they expect it here on July 8th.

Go back and talk to Mark West. We're paying sticker and no reason for anyone to pay over!

It was interesting she ordered right after I did (hours), almost the same car, but our delivery was about 2 weeks apart.

My understanding is that it's a $1000 non-refundable deposit that will go towards the price of the car. I don't believe they are selling over MSRP, but asking for deposits to see who is really serious. Coop and I did not pay over MSRP. Brian Prosser was awesome to work with.

That sounds more like it. Although mine was $500, and did go toward the car. Brian said they had so many people coming in that had no clue, or credit for that matter so the $500 or $1000 really weeds them out fast.

Shoot, I would have put that kind of money down if I thought it would move me into allocation quicker! I swore I heard "pay over MSRP" to make the line jump. I signed at MSRP as well, and put $500 down.

I agree about Brian. He is always as responsive as he can be to my questions. I just keep wondering how many people may have taken that over MSRP offer, and how far I might slip down the list. Seriously, no complaints about Brian!

...it is called the "Speed Pass". You can pay over MSRP to move to the front of the line. I don't know how much over MSRP gets you to the front. I'm not really sure what to think about this. At the time I ordered, I was content with waiting. The excitement has taken over, and I am less patient now. Plus, it seems like this system gives Reliable too much flexibility with when they deliver on my order. :(

What do you guys think?

Speed Pass is only being used to reallocate orders that were placed by customers who now cannot take the car (loss of job or other financial reasons).
