Every one of Midway Chevy Phoenix stock is 12k over sticker. They thought they were being nice knocking it down to 4k over in one nutcutting session I had with them. Still no sale with me

its been said before that this will wear off and these guys will be stuck with the bad publicity with the public. These cars are already starting to show up and sit on dealers lots, and soon there will be alot more.

For 12K over sticker, I'd be willing to throw in a slightly used COBALT - DOH!

That's crazy! It hurts me to pay sticker for a car as it is.....never would I pay over. Most dealers in my Tri County area of Mississippi are selling at sticker. Must be a Mississippi thing. Anyone within a few hundred miles of Jackson, Mississippi, PM me and I can get you hooked up with my dealer. I will have bought 2 Camaros for my wife and I.... and both at sticker and marking it up was never a option for them. Also just referred another person to them and of course they are selling at MSRP to them as well. It just goes back to greed and makes one sick Makes me think of the housing bubble and crooked lending....again greed...

The one I have now my dealer had just gotten in and I happen to go in at the right time. 3 or 4 people walked in right behind me to buy it. They could have easily marked it up right then as they had 4 people sitting there ready to buy, but they did not and honored the MSRP.

Nope, not a lie...I saw one at a dealership near the L.A. area that was $42,000 MSRP, but marked up to $62,000.

I just wish people would stop buying the cars at these inflated prices. Too bad the government can't put a surtax on any amount paid over MSRP.

In my opinion, long gone are the need for dealerships in terms of selling new automobiles.

Consumers should be allowed to simply go to GM.com and place an order for a new vehicle and have it shipped to a dealership of their choosing (that doesn't count against the dealership's allocations).

At that point, the dealership would make their money off of storage costs of the vehicle if it's not picked up immediately, detailing, inspection, etc.

I can buy everything else online; automobile industry needs to catch up =)
