Yes CarFax is a database of insurance claims information. The only way for this not to show on CarFax is for you to repair it out of pocket.

Fix it, no brainer. You will be much happier with it fixed. IF not it will always be there and you will notice it MUCH more then anyone else but you will still not be happy.

Get it fixed.

If you decide to touch it up; www.drcolorchip.com.

If you get it painted. Ask around in your Regional Thread of Camaro5 for a reputable place. Ask to see examples of their work. Let them know your concerns and feel them out. There are some really good places out there. You just have to find them.

I had some pretty bad door dings that I had fixed at a great body shop, you can't tell they were ever there.

...If I were you I'd go ahead and get it fixed.

sand it and primer it, leave it as is - you're on your way to a Camaro rat-rod.

Regardless of what repair method I choose I'm owed $400 in recovery either for the cost of a repair or the hit in resell value I'll likely take if I just touch it up which I expect will be noticeable on a close inspection. The money should be mine to do with as I please.

I actually kind of like that . Would be wonderful to not have to worry so much about where I parked anymore.

Seriously? Get the entire door repainted for two tiny chips? You probably have more than that on the front bumper cover. If you get it repainted, and the paint doesn't match exactly, or the metallic isn't correct, it will look waaaaay worse then a couple of chips. Get some touch up paint and call it good in my opinion.

and I kind of like that rat rod SS.

Get the door done right by a good shop. You will never know the damage was done.

Sometime touch up paint works sometimes it doesn't.
